That was one cold commute..

..especially with just a short sleeve jersey, sleeveless base layer, speedo and flip flops. But after the first times that I drilled it [in between taking pictures of bird poo and seashells] I felt all toasty. That dermatological metabolisis really kicked in and stuff.

i didn't ride in by my wife bravely gave a shot at riding in (she said she was cold, cross country skiing cold)

I'm so glad you asked. Cadence was in the 76 to 76-1/2 range.. Little ring- 39x15 or so, give or take a tooth. I used the LOOK road bike with it's original Easton Tempest 2 rear wheel on it- It's in spiffy condition since I used the Powertap wheel non-stop for 17 months straight, while the Easton collected dust.
I ride the Redline 9-2-5 only when roads are wet- and I bought a cheapie pair of normal road handlebars the other day. Who wants to buy a pair of moustache handlebars? Will trade for bar tape.
