No training races for the next month or so (Grrrr..) at least until after Keith Berger Crit.. (which is one of my "A" events- I am aiming to do really well there) Will be hard to keep away from Ninigret. Need to focus on other training goals right now. Next few weeks are going to hurt.

I'm wondering why cut back on the training races? My guess is that maybe they're not as intense and predictable as a scheduled practice? Nothing against ol' "Mickey", just curious.
In his own words:
"I’d like to get a few weeks of some actual work in, where you aren’t sitting in the field trying to win something. Your overall fitness is behind and is hurting you. If we can get that FT up to at least 275 with your weight at about 165, you’ll stand a chance. If you just try to race into shape at this point – you will either get dropped, or you’ll end up just sitting in all the time and not developing the areas hurting you most. Those crits will be there all summer – let’s get your threshold up first, start working your VOmax and then mix in some crits. You are where you should have been in February, so we have some work to do now – you have some tough days ahead."
